GAME AUDIO
As Director of Audio at First Contact Entertainment, Dylan Eiland led the studio’s audio department with a focus on first-party game development for Sony’s PlayStation Studios. With a deep understanding of the full game development pipeline from preproduction through release and live service, he oversaw the sound design, music, and dialogue for all of First Contact’s titles over a six-year period.
Eiland was highly proficient with industry-standard tools such as Unreal Engine 5 and Audiokinetic Wwise, and his expertise extended beyond asset creation. He conceptualized and implemented dynamic audio and music systems that responded in real time to gameplay, enhancing player immersion and narrative impact.
On the studio’s final release, Firewall Ultra, Eiland worked in close partnership with Sony Interactive Entertainment, directing a team of sound and dialogue designers while also composing the game’s original score. For earlier titles Firewall Zero Hour and Solaris Offworld Combat, he was solely responsible for the creation and implementation of 100 percent of each game’s audio, including sound design, music, and voice integration. This body of work demonstrated his versatility and creative leadership as an audio director.
